Terran MKAL beckons you forth armed with brioche stitches and stunning yarn into a deep exploration of the subterrain and terrain structures. This shawl is designed for brioche knitting loving terrans – an adventure to knit and thrill to wear! The pattern is live (on presale!) on Payhip, Ravelry, and Lovecrafts. The knitting starts October 7th. The fun happens in the Knit Eco Chic group on Slack!
Plunge Take Two
The photographic “vision” for “Take the Plunge” came early in the design process… unusually early! I hadn’t even finished designing some of the items when I knew exactly how I wanted to shoot the book. As the months rolled on and the samples were knit, washed, blocked, and ready to shoot – COVID, a gas shortage, and health issues (for both camera mom and me) kept hitting the snooze on our plans. I debated strongly about “just getting it done” locally as my Aunt and Uncle live 8 hours away (round trip). But that idea God gave me just wouldn’t shake free.

Celebrating 10 years
This November Puddles and I celebrate 10 years of publishing!!! God has been so faithful to provide many designs and such wonderful collaborations and community through the medium of knitting and the Internet. As we wrap up July, which turned into our celebration month, we have a few more treats to share, including a very special yarn discount.

Let’s knit together an adventure in brioche!
Uplift Make Along Final Round Up
Such a wonderful event Ruth Brasch created in her uplift make along. Thank you for joining me in uplifting so many indie designers (myself included)! As it ends, I wanted to recap the final projects I made in this off Rav event.
Take the Plunge
Summer fun and daring designs come together in Take the Plunge. Cast on an exciting adventure from your favorite knitting chair! Summer breezes greet both you and your stitches as you intentionally drop, squeal, and dive.
Submerge
Let summer breezes waft through your stitches in Submerge. This asymmetrical drop shawl features alternating cables for a rippling effect through the design. As if lighting upon the water’s edge, butterfly dip stitches flutter through the I-cord Bind Off. To keep it simple for those wanting a shallow end dip into drops, only the drop stitches are purled making them easily recognizable throughout the work.
Plunge
Adventure meets seamless knitting in Plunge. Who’d ever guess this pattern would have so much personality. What you knit belies what will be… like a Plunge in the deep end, exhale as you rise and drop the drops to reveal the ending surprise, letting cool breezes flow through. With two styles of drop cables (A and B), two neck styles (crew and scoop), two sleeves (short and sleeveless) and two lengths (crop and full) you’re sure to find a combination to suit your summer wardrobe needs.
Carrying Yarn
Our newest release, Butterfly Silk, features optional colourwork with some beautiful colour transitions! But that necessitates the question, how to carry the yarn? I know there are tons of methods out there – from the “no carrying, I cut and weave in ALL those extra ends” camp to the super sly “hide it in my knitting” camp and everything in between.
