This November Puddles and I celebrate 10 years of publishing!!!  God has been so faithful to provide many designs and such wonderful collaborations and community through the medium of knitting and the Internet.  As we wrap up July, which turned into our celebration month, we have a few more treats to share, including a very special yarn discount.

Take the Plunge is now available in print!!!  I’m beyond excited at the production of my first printed knitting book.  Take the Plunge is a 67-page long book filled with gorgeous photos (thanks to camera mom), 3 summer loving designs for Malabrigo’s Verano – all featuring drop stitches, how-to’s, calculators for figuring out what size to knit if you follow the “only drop some” modifications on 2 of the designs, Puddles, and more!

Pick up your copy of “Take the Plunge” here!

Want your copy autographed/ paw-de-graphed?  Drop me an email 😊.

A MKAL is announced!  (Boy, why does that immediately make me think of Agatha Christie??)  This exciting design is the 4th and final addition to our The Unique Sheep series of elemental MKALs.  Joining Solar Flare Circular Shawl for fire, Oceanic for water, and Air Bender for wind, Terran invites you to dive into brioche for an amazing earth-inspired design.

The MKAL happens on the Knit Eco Chic group on Slack starting October 7th.  Pick up your copy of Terran today to get all your materials in time for the knitting adventure.

Puddles includes several yarn suggestions in the “site prep” (pre-MKAL PDF). We are using Sunset Road and Spring Grass from The Unique Sheep on their organic cotton and bamboo fingering. The Unique Sheep has opened up seven of their fingering bases to pre-orders for this event!

The pattern is written and charted so you can follow the direction type you love best.  Also included are stitch videos and a couple of zoom chat times with me and Puddles (health permitting)!  We are so excited to share this design and the weeks of knitting it with you!!

Organic cotton is on our needles in Logan! What base and color will you choose?

Our final celebration bit (for July) comes via the wonderful dyer behind Five Wise Owls , Juliah.  She is offering Knit Eco Chic customers 15% off any yarn in her shop!  Please use code: knitecochic from July 28-August 4th (2021) to enjoy the savings.

If you’ve not tried Juliah’s yarn yet, now is the perfect time!  I am definitely a fan and am ordering more myself (shhh it’s a secret design relating to my Maine build 😉 ).  Read my yarn review of Five Wise Owl’s organic cotton fingering base here.

To go with the yarn special, a new design!  Arise and greet “Race the Sun”.

Race the Sun – a racerback tank with I-cord detail!

Ease into summer knitting with a fresh design that gears you up for plenty of sun.  Race the Sun’s racerback tank spotlights cool latticed I-cords and easy textures.  Needles at the ready, yarn all set, go!

Want to match your yarn?  Race the Sun is knit in Five Wise Owls fingering weight organic cotton yarn, color Logan.  The absolute perfect yellow!

Thanks for joining us in celebrating 10 years!
