Oceanic Shawl

Lindsay Lewchuk2016 New Releases, How-to Videos, Oceanic MKAL, Patterns, Shawls

Rising from the depths of the ocean, oxygen air bubbles bloom bursting forth to the surface. Oceanic lets you feel the gentle breezes like soft waves caressing your skin. Rich with the colors of deep waters, this shawl makes a beautiful accessory for any unique occasion.

Inspired by TheUniqueSheep’s organic cotton and bamboo fingering yarn, their “Deep Waters” colorway, World Ocean Day, and this image from Lagoon Shallows photo shoot, the design dives into the depths of ocean currents through color and texture.

The tech edited easy level pattern creates a rectangular shaped shawl. The pattern is fully written & fully charted with a color change cheat sheet and stitch how-to demos too. Suggested skills: Cast On, Bind Off, Knit, Purl, Knit Elongated Stitches, Increase, Decrease. There is one uncommon stitch combination, but if you watch the video you should be set! The second video shows the modified I-cord cast on for both right and left handed knitters.
