Nature so close and so many inviting places to sit and knit a while.
For the past 2 years when traveling for my medical treatments, I’ve been blessed to stay at an eco B&B just outside Toronto, Ontario –
Woodsong Bed & Breakfast.

Trails inviting you to take a break and enjoy a walk.
Nestled on 43 acres of Ontario’s finest, Woodsong B&B offers comfortable accommodations in a spectacular setting. The front wall of windows opens upon the pond and waterfall with a swimming pool, tennis court, and miles of hiking trails off to the left. Object d’art pop up in the most unusual places from the decor to the landscaping, always eliciting a smile.

The innkeepers! Gary & Liivi on their anniversary :-).
The innkeepers, Gary and Liivi, make one feel right at home accommodating food allergies (& others too) with graciousness, concern, and care.

Diesel a hater of cameras gave me the great honor of allowing me to take his photo after his human stood close by.

Nikki most joyously joined me & Liivi on several hikes. That dog just exudes smiles!

The cat.
The furry innkeepers keep their distance until you invite them to play.

Sunset overlooking the pond is truly amazing!
So what makes ’em eco? They use natural products from cleaning supplies to land care. They recycle & compost. Heat is provided via a quiet geo-thermal system. The upstairs unit (I’ve not been in the other one) has bamboo floors and the open floor plan allows for good air flow. An entire wall of sliding doors let that fresh country air flow through.
So next time you are looking for a place to stay just outside Toronto, check out Woodsong B&B located at:

To conclude, enjoy some of my other favorite photos from Woodsong B&B:

Morning feeding of the fowl

pretty flowers along the trail

An unexpected glance at the brook which fills the pond, just down the trail.

I admit it, I fell in love with the natural beauty – nature unedited!

The trail winds through many different natural clusters, this one was pines

More pops of nature and art

That artistic creation actually turns in the wind!

Wild turkey out for a stroll.

Blue jays taunted me as I took photo after photo out of focus… in the end, I won!

Wild flowers make the trails bloom with color.

I couldn’t resist, one more peeling white birch.

Made you smile… didn’t it :-).
