Christine Guest is the most creative pattern engineer I’ve come across. She dedicates swatch after swatch to engineering new techniques and refining old ones. Whenever I have a sticky situation in a pattern, I know she’ll have a solution I’ve not thought of! So it is with great excitement that I introduce Silvia of ELF, the third release in the Technicolor: Movie Night collection, to you today. If you have Technicolor: Matinee, you’ll have the pattern Silvia Needs a Bag. But just what could Silvia need a bag for? Buttons galore!

All the pieces can be used individually as well as together!!!!
Because she is so humble, you won’t hear the depths of her involvement from her, but I loved her process of creation for this collection. Not only did Christine create a transformative piece with stunning buttons and a myriad of ways to close it, but she also wrote a story for her creation. After writing a short story about Silvia, she then put on her customer’s hat and styled Silvia’s movie wardrobe using the stitch pattern from our collection.

Just check out those buttons and all those fasteners! Fabulously steampunk and elfin at the same time!!

The rest of the “spare parts” are safely tucked away in Silvia Needs A Bag!
