Head over to Stitch Mastery to read the inside scoop: URL – https://stitchmastery.com/interview-series-40-lindsay-lewchuk/ Of course, I couldn’t talk about designing without GDCSJ, Puddles
The next release in the Technicolor: Matinee eBook collection is Silvia Needs a Bag by pattern engineer, Christine Guest. Christine’s designs fascinate me! She incorporates such incredible detail scientifically proven to work together in beautiful artistry. Happy social knitting days! This Christmas season I’ll be taking part in the Fasten Off Yarn-a-long (FOYAL) as both a designer and participant. If you’re new to the FOYAL, check out this link! The event kicks off tonight at 9pm (Nov 25) and runs through December 31st. The social side and games takes place on a dedicated discord channel and social media. This year, the FOYAL features 109 designers with over 4,300 total eligible patterns including 3,500 discounted patterns! Use code: FO2022 to save 25% off 25 of your favorite Knit Eco Chic designs. Code works on both Payhip and Ravelry and expires December 8th midnight EST.
It’s almost that time of year again. Soon I too will be picking out my cast ons, but before it begins, I wanted to know what you have your eye on! Email me (knitecochic at gmail) with your favorite 5 patterns and help me create my FOYAL sale bundle! Any patterns or eBooks posted on my Payhip shop are eligible for voting this year. (And yes, I’ll be running the sale on Payhip and Ravelry, but my Payhip shop is smaller, so please check that link when voting for the pattern you want to see included in the sale.)
Summer is coming and it’s time to cast on for the “Take the Plunge” 2022 photo challenge.
The morning frost warms into morning dew as winter turns to spring. Within these first few months of 2022, enjoy some simple designs to awaken your senses to the joyful colors and textures of double slipped designs. The final two designs will appear as we say “goodbye” to warm summer mornings and “hello” to frosty sunrises.
As the reveal of Terran is just around the corner, Puddles and I wanted to “paws” and take a look back over the design process of it. With over 1.93 GB & 490 files in the design folder and 11.9 GB & 969 files in the media folder (!!!!) there is a lot of Terran that you will never see, including some really adorable Puddles WIP photos. He said share the picture love, human! So, journey back in time with us as we take a look at “this is not your mkal” and the frogged and forgotten stitches of this MKAL design.
Please join me in welcoming Karista of Sweet Mountain Crafts to the blog today. I’ve followed Sweet Mountain Crafts on IG for a while and love the gorgeous yarn and beautiful scenery.
