HOTN – I’ve just finished the last project in Sizzlin’ Stitches and am so excited to show off my FOs!

Porto, designed by Jill Wolcott, knit in Ella Rae organic cotton
With Porto, I learned a new stitch! Such an exciting experience – Fisherman’s Rib is now in my collection of potentials for future designs. I was asked if Fisherman’s Rib and Brioche are the same – they create a similar fabric, but the methodology is different. Watch my quick review on the differences here.

Honeycomb Breeze, designed by Orchard House Editing, crocheted in Amano Yarns organic cotton
It felt like EVERYTHING about this design was new to me. Okay not everything – I have crocheted before, but it definitely stretched my crochet beyond what I thought possible. Both YouTube and when that wasn’t sufficient, the designer herself, were instrumental in my conquering of Honeycomb Breeze. And yes, there was a happy dance with the bind off because I was just so excited to get it to look like the pictures ;-). (Except, I didn’t want to put my crochet hook away so I swapped the knitted I-cord tie for a crocheted one.)

Napoli, designed by Jill Wolcott, also knit in Ella Rae organic cotton
Once I worked Jill’s customization calculators, I discovered more delightful Fisherman’s Rib accented with easy to memorize lace made Napoli the perfect movie knit night project! I probably could have finished in 2 nights, but I had some work knitting that took president, so in the end it took the longest.
Purchased from Heavenly Yarns here in Maine, 1 skein of Ella Rae made both projects with yarn left over. I had leftovers of the Amano Yarns organic cotton from Honeycomb Breeze, too.
Which is my favorite? One of the reasons I made all 3 was because I couldn’t pick! So, I asked cameramom and she voted for Porto!

The final Sizzlin’ Stitches eBook is now live! Join me in casting on: Patio Bandanna, Porto, Honeycomb Breeze, Pollinator, and Napoli. Which will be your favorite?

PSA – Technology & 3rd party websites aren’t always reliable – two of our Canadian customers bought during release 1 and had some issues getting the remaining releases – either blocked or asked to pay more for the rest. If this happened to you – that you didn’t receive all 5 patterns for the 1-time purchase you made, please do get in touch! As promised, regardless of when you purchased, all 5 patterns are yours for the original price you paid. We are happy to create a work around for you as well, but you need to let us know.
